Cantina Cortina create authentic Italian food with a good dose of country romance. Season’s best ingredients are prepared to please both at and around the table. Therefore our winter menu 2012 is based on what you call Misti in Italy.

Cantina Cortina is proud to make simple and heavenly good food in a genuine Italian atmosphere. Until 16:00 hours we have lunch menu, and then a larger dinner menu. We gladly recommend taking a look at it in its entirety here. For many, wine is a natural part of an Italian dining experience. So we work hard to find good wines from several regions of Italy. Many of these are unknown to most people but perhaps therefore fun to experience with us.

Description of the Job

The Executive Chef will be in charge of:

  • the kitchen, maximizing the productivity of the kitchen.
  • developing and changing menus, create new recepies.
  • order food and equipment.
  • hire and train new employees
  • stay current on industry and branch trends
  • prepare budgets for food and labour costs
  • maintain company`s high standards

Skills required

  • Operational experience as executive, or head chef, in a high end/high volume Italian restaurant (3-5 star)
  • Experienced in food ordering, tracking food inventory and food handling/storage certifications
  • Must master the gastronomic skills of regional Italian cusine
  • Fluent English
  • International experience is a plus

The position is full time (weekends required). Salary To be discussed and based on experience and skills
